Operations Begin in Sri Lanka

Mitsui Construction Company of Japan begins its operations in Sri Lanka, laying the foundation for what would eventually become one of the region’s most respected names in construction and engineering.

Local Incorporation Begins

Under FIAC approval, Mitsui Construction Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. is incorporated to carry out civil construction projects in Sri Lanka, expanding its operational footprint with legal authorization and formal recognition.

Scope of Services Expands

FIAC approval is extended to include leasing and hiring of industrial equipment enhancing operational capabilities and project efficiency.

Renamed to Sanken Lanka
